Dear all, I started this week full on, with my motivation levels back on track. Maybe it was the visit of my bff, last week, that made me get back to myself. Such a shot of positivity I got from that girl! We danced, we laughed, we took it easy, we cycled everywhere, we ate and drank like piggies, and we talked our heads off until we were too sleepy ( or too drunk) to articulate. Is there anything or anyone more uplifting than your best friend(s)? This week I’m damn busy – as usual – but happily surfing this wave.

Woe, 3oth, 19.00 | African danse and improvisation. Workshop – Prinseneiland

Workshop + dance. Take your shoes off and let your body flow to the African percussion rhythms. No experience required.

Thu, 1st to Sun, 4th | Pre-Primark-Markt – Molensteeg

Market. The goal of this second-hand market is raising awareness about fast-fashion, now that a huge Primark is about to open in Amsterdam. All income will revert to the Gelukszoeker association. You can donate your own clothes as well and help the cause!

Dance / performance. The second part of a festival curated by the students of the 3rd year of the Academy for Theater and Dance. The best dance-theater performances, for which you should reserve your ticket asap!

Comedy + disco. First, there’s the Comedy Night, from 20.00. Afterwards, party with the Djs Tommy and Menno. As simple as that.

Party. African tunes at Studio K! I’m big into hot rhythms so it couldn’t be more appealing to me.

Theater. Theater at the bunker, inspired by the lost satyr play ‘Proteus’ by Aeschylus. Directed by Zbigniew Maciak in collaboration with the actors.

Sat, 3rd, 21.00 | Brasil in the Brewery #7 – Roda da Holanda – Oedipus Brewery

Concert. Roda da Holanda is back! This time with a tribute to the Brazilian master Gilberto Gil. This is a not to miss event for the MPB ( Popular Brazilian Music) addicts – I can assure you. Band starts at 23.00.
