When What Where June

WWW is a cultural agenda focused on art, music, lesser-known cultural venues, sustainability, community events & self-development. With a soft spot for world-music and multicultural events.

Dear all,

This month we are giving away tickets to the LINKS AF party on June 16. Take your loved one(s) to dance with you as if there was no tomorrow – house & techno are on the menu with sprinkles of disco. You can find all the info about how to enter the giveaway down below, under WEEK 3. As for the rest, the cultural menu for June is diverse and exciting. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything else you’re looking forward to that I should definitely add up to the list!

Fri 1, 17.30 / Robotanica Exhibition / Tolhuistuin – free entrance

OUTDOOR EXHIBITION Robotic creatures seem to be here to stay. Can we integrate them in our environments order to enrich mankind and nature? How? And how would it impact us? Artists, designers and scientists researched this subject and their explorations are displayed in Robotanica. Until June 15.

A subsequent ROBOTANICA program of PERFORMANCE / SHORT-FILMS / DEMOS will take place on June 12, at the EYE Filmmuseum.

Fri, 1, 17.15 / Meneer Vrijdag met Mezrab / Mediamatic – free entrance

BOAT TRIP There was once a boat which brought refugees to Europe. Now the refugees take the locals to sail around in Al Hadj Djumaa, which translates to Mister Friday. This time, Mezrab‘s storytellers are going to be onboard and I wouldn’t miss the experience for the world!

Sat, 2, 22.00 / Roda da Holanda / Pllek – free entrance

SAMBA CONCERT I have talked about Roda da Holanda a good number of times here. They play Brazilian Samba in a circle – the traditional way – and everybody is welcome to go shake their limbs around them. Their parties are always hot and full of energy and people so make sure you arrive early.

Fri, 15, 16 & 17 / Veggie Festival Amsterdam / NDSM

VEGETARIAN FESTIVAL Weren’t we all waiting for the rise of the veggie festival in Amsterdam? Well, I was. Sat, 16, 21.00 / LINKS AF (CLUB NIGHT) / Recycle Lounge Gallery Club – WIN!

CLUBBING For the ones always asking me where to go dancing in Amsterdam, here’s a special suggestion: LINKS AF. Just check their description: “When individuals are brought together in a segregated space, hearing and feeling the same frequencies, moving to the rhythm. It’s a form of meditation. Meditation lets us quiet our minds and reset our outlook on life. Doing so in a warm and loving environment can shift our thought patterns in a new direction. We can be more open, more forgiving and more loving. Our goal with LINKS AF is to use the power of music and atmosphere to provide that environment”. The best thing here is that Amsterdive’s readers can win 2 tickets for the party! Oh yeah.

Here’s what you need to do to ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:

#1 Tag the friend you’d like to bring along on the Facebook page of the event
#2 Follow Amsterdive on Facebook
